Daddy Rules – Part 2: Heredity at it’s best (In honour of Love Thursday)
It’s Love Thursday again. I had a hard time choosing what to share this week. I settled on pics of two of the people I love most in the world…
This is the only baby picture we have of the BG and, unfortunately, it’s not in great condition but it’s clear enough that you can see the similarity to this current one of our little man.

Maybe you won’t see it if you don’t see them in person regularly (and I couldn’t find a pose of the boy that matched better), but I sure think they look alike!
I can only hope that he takes after his daddy in more ways than looks. His future wife is very lucky if he is even half the man his daddy is. (Which, incidentally, is part of the reason I was so excited to have a son.)
Which leads us into part 2 of the series lovingly entitled “Why Daddy Rules.”
Want to read part 1?
Why Daddy Rules
- He gives me no less than 10 hugs every day.
- He tells the boy that he loves him and how cute he is in the most adorable mushy daddy voice several times a day.
- He says “Loveyoutoo” on the phone even when he’s with his work buddies and is going to get made fun of relentlessly.
- He fixes my dad’s computer over and over again without complaining.
- He carries in the groceries when I get home from shopping – just to be a gentleman.
- He thanks me and means it every time I make anything for him to eat or drink. Even toast.
- He tells me I’m pretty even on days when I sure don’t feel that way.
- He is disgusted with the same people I’m disgusted with – people who abuse those who can’t defend themselves (animals, children, the elderly and the disabled)
- He finds all of the shows I like and don’t have time to watch and saves them for me for when the boy’s in bed and we can watch them together.
- He works really hard so that I can stay home with the boy for as long as possible.
Love is…family.

What a great husband!! I feel lucky that way too.
My husband and my son are SOOO similar, and I’m fortunate in that at age seven, I know he HAS inherited more than his Dad’s looks.
You seem very blessed. Thanks for stopping by my site today.

That was a great tribute to your hubbie. You and I sound like we married the same person. My hubbie is just the most wonderful husband/dad in the whole world. You pretty much described him in your list except #4. I’m so adding you to my “google reader” list.

Wow! They look identical! You have a great husband! Rylan’s lucky to have such a great role model!
A friend of mine adopted a baby girl. When she got her one year old photos back, her mom brought over my friend’s one year old photo. They were identical! It’s just so neat to see that some things are meant to be!

I think they look soooooo much alike!! Freaky! I keep saying it, but Rylan just gets cuter and cuter every time I see a picture of him. Man, he’s a stunner.
