Keeping It Under Control: Organization With A Baby →

Elimination

So, the boy’s had the shits for a week and so far we’ve come to the conclusion that he’s either intolerant to wheat or dairy, and maybe white rice in his crackers, but brown rice is fine.

We don’t eat any white flower because the BG is allergic to it so he’s never had any, but we eat tons of 100% whole grain stuff so that one would really suck.

Now we have to do a strict elimination diet to find out exactly what the problem is. Maybe it’s both.

Any tips from those of you who’ve been there?

Oh, and he feels fine. No signs of pain or illness other than the ass-water. He’s staying hydrated by nursing tons and drinking green smoothies and water. (Thanks to Reesh for the smoothie recipe - yummy!)

Tomorrow - Organizing Kid’s Clothing and…stuff. Right here!

Also tomorrow - Contests ending for Baby Starlet, New for Baby & Dot Girl. AthleticBaby and BOBOBABY ending Friday. More contests coming Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday. Oh, and next week. Get my drift? Check daily! Deadlines are going to start shortening now that we’re getting so many entries. My inbox can no longer handle it!

Aw, poor baby. Sorry I can’t offer any advice. I hope you can find out what it is soon.

No clue dude …. we never really had that issue. Except Becs cannot handle too much cow’s milk, in moderation she is fine.

Yogart is great for upset tummys.

Good, I’m really glad he likes the green smoothies!! As for the runs, I think you’ve got the right idea with doing an elimination diet. It’s going to be hard and frustrating for a while, but in the end it will be totally worth it. You can get Spelt and Kamut breads that are the most similar to wheat breads, but if it’s a gluten intolerance, then I don’t think either of those would work. You can look up celiac’s disease for the complete list. I hope you figure it out soon, both for his sake and yours.

Do you think he is actually allergic to something and it wasn’t just a one-time stomach bug thing that upset his tummy? I hope you get it figured out!
