Attitude of Gratitude

1. I’m thankful, certainly not that the boy has a nasty cold, but that it hasn’t turned into anything worse and that the miracle of breastmilk cleared up his eye goo without drops.
2. The boy gave me his cold. For that I am not thankful, but I am pretty darn glad that I only had it for a day or so and was able to get a good sleep & fight it off. Also, the BG didn’t get it and that’s awesome. Probably because I’m the one that’s always covered in snot.
3. I’m thankful that the BG got home safely from his business trip and has no plans to leave again any time soon.
4. I’m thankful that the boy’s Grandpa K is coming to see us him today. (You know grandparents – we’re just an excuse to get to our cute kid!) He’s riding his death machine motorbike down so we’ll be super grateful when he arrives here & back home in one piece!
5. I’m grateful for the amazing weather we’ve got to get all our spring yardwork done this weekend and for the boy to play outside with the dogs (and the humans, of course). Now all we’ve got left is the gardens. Anyone want to rototill for us?
6. I’m thankful for the birthday packages that the boy and I got in the mail this week from my cousin, along with a great grad picture of my cousins daughter, who I also refer to as my cousin. How the heck did she get old enough to graduate?
7. I’m grateful for the huge pile of April review samples from The Opinionated Parent that I’ll be taking to the women’s shelter this week. It’s nice to be able to make someone’s day by giving them something they would never have been able to buy in their current situation.
What are you grateful for this week?

Hi—first timer here and I’m enjoying reading your (funny) thoughts.
As a blogging Dad, I’m grateful that my little sweet daughter provides me with so much posting content (laugh)! Seriously, I’m actually grateful that my little one (3 y.o.) has just accomplished her 16th night dry with a sparkling attitude.
She started on her holding her pee overnight about 4 weeks ago and within 3 weeks was holding.
Thanks for the fun post!

I am thankful for the great weather so that we can get our gardens ready for planting. Which in turn will allow us to eat from the land…as it should be..no chemicals.

One of the things that I’m thankful for is that my summer hours for work start this week! More coffee time (hint hint)!
I’m also thankful that I have a happy (yes, even the teenager!) active, healthy family. What more could you ask for?

I hope Rylan feels better! Glad to hear you didn’t get it too bad as well. How awsome that you’re able to take some of the samples to the women’s shelter; I’m sure they appreciate it!

Hope Ry feels better soon. This is going to sound stupid but then that’s me, did you mean you put drops of breast milk in his eye? Not that it matters but I was just curious

Just started reading your blog and am loving it!
Isn’t that a cool feature of breastmilk? Believe it helps baby acne, too.
