I’m taking the boy and deserting the BG to go visit our moms this weekend. The BG wanted to come but he’s helping a friend move tomorrow and it would be along drive for just an overnight stay. I convinced him to stay home because he has to travel for work every day next week, and one day will be over 7 hours of driving. He caved, out of pure exhaustion. I’ll be back Sunday to celebrate my own Mother’s Day with him (and probably mow the lawn), and we’ll go visit the parents again for my dad & sister in law’s birthday in a couple of weeks.

I have the best mom in the whole world, and the best mother in law too. We couldn’t be luckier. Happy Mother’s Day Mom!

Speaking of mothering…with my pregnancy with the boy neither of us got a feeling about gender until the 18 week ultrasound. When we saw his face, we both thought he looked very boy-ish. This time, we don’t get a feeling yet. How about you?
