Whew – What a day!
It’s a few minutes after midnight so I didn’t quite make it with a Tuesday post. It was one heck of a crazy day around here.
Primo’s been working on his molars since January and the first one FINALLY poked through on Monday. Along with that he’s also fighting a cold. He’s had a bit of a fever for a few days but it’s been controlled with meds. Last night when it was over 102 F (38.9 C) our clinic said we should come in, but we pushed it a little bit because we were able to get it down to 107.7 F (38.7 C) with Tylenol and, of course, a fever is actually a good thing because it’s a sign that his body is doing it’s job to fight something. This morning, though, it was up to 102.8 F (39.3 C) and didn’t go down and he was incredibly dopey, whiny, dehydrated and hadn’t eaten or drank much in a couple of days so we headed to the hospital just in case. The BG called in to work so we could all go together. As was bound to happen, as we walked in the door to the ER his fever started to drop and he started to become slightly less lethargic. They were great with him and got us in and out quickly, and we left with the instruction to give Tylenol and Advil at the same time instead of alternating them. I had no idea you could do that but it worked like a charm! He’s still a bear but his temperature is normal.
He spent the day throwing tantrums, crying for his Daddy and biting baby gates. Thankfully, it’s my friend’s birthday today so I was able to get out for an hour tonight for coffee. The break did wonders for my patience and gave me the strength to face another day of screaming tomorrow (today) should I have to. (It’s also my sister in law’s birthday but she doesn’t live here – Happy Birthday Sasha and Krista!)
Primo has already woken up once tonight so I’m hoping he’s done until morning. At least 8 am would be great! And while we’re engaging in wishful thinking let’s add a new molar to that, a’ight?

awww poor little guy. I have never heard of giving them at once either. Alternating in extreme situations yes. Cool that it worked!
Sending get well vibes. I was starting to get worried about you. I got my package and will be writing up a little something today (I hope).

Isn’t that always the way – you take ‘em to the dr. and they’re fine?!? I hope he keeps getting better.
