Cluck Cluck. Or is it Gobble Gobble?
I guess the bird of the weekend is a turkey, not a chicken. Duh.
The error was funny enough to me to leave it there. Sometimes the stupidest things make me laugh.
It’s Thanksgiving here in the great white north so we’ll be hangin’ with the fam this weekend – eating too much and laughing a lot, I’m sure.
In the meantime, how about a game of I Ask, You Answer…
1. How often do you wash your duvet, duvet cover or comforter? (Isn’t washing a duvet cover and putting it on again a huge pain in your ass?)
2. Is it bad that I bought groceries on Tuesday and put them away tonight, two and a half days later? The perishables were done, but there were at least ten bags on my kitchen floor until this evening.
3. Is it just me or do y’all have one or two clean areas in your house at a time while the rest is in a shambles? I don’t have a big house and it’s never all clean at the same time.
Happy Thanksgiving!

happy thanksgiving to you!
1. I was the comforter every couple of weeks
2. How did you move around your kitchen to cook w/10 bags on the floor?! LOL I have to put my groceries away right when I get home or it’ll drive me crazy.
3. My house is the same way. I have little piles here and there and when I can’t take it anymore I tackle them one at a time…until the next time LOL

I only wash comforters about 4 times a year.
I take all the groceries out of the bags, but sometimes they sit on the counter in little piles for a couple of days.
The only clean areas in my house consistently are the formal dining room and the entry way – both of which are rarely used since we come in through the laundry room.
A clean house rarely lasts an entire day once my boys come in they leave stuff or move stuff or toss the pillows at each other, leave dishes in the sink, etc

Funny you should ask the duvet question. Pennie puked on mine last night right before bed, so I changed it. Then she did it again at 4:30am. So……I have changed it twice in a 6 hour period

1. The duvet? Once a month – more in the summer. It’s a job I like better than doing the clothes because it’s only one thing. And I love the fresh smell of Line Dried blankets in the summer!
2. Groceries? Ummm, we use the bins, so the “fridge and freezer stuff” get done right away, but sometimes to have the kitchen a bit tidier before I go to bed (the only time I have to shop is evenings) I’ll lug the bin in to the laundry room, which is where the pantry cupboard is located. Then it’ll sometimes sit there until next grocery day, which is usually a week… we just dig through looking for the box of rice or granola bars or whatever. I always plan to get at it “after I finish the dishes” or “after I get the wash in” but that rarely happens. It’s really quite sad and pathetic now that I’ve admitted that. *sigh*
3. My house is NEVER clean at the same time. Back entry is usually clean and tidy. Bathroom and kitchen sinks etc. are always scrubbed, but usually untidy. Other rooms are kinda scary sometimes. There’s always laundry everywhere.* We live in an old farmhouse that is in a constant state of reno/restoration, so there’s always chaos somewhere!
*I can wash, dry and fold the laundry, but have a hard time taking it out of the baskets and actually putting it away. We just dig through…I’m noticing a trend here… lol!
Have a Happy Thanksgiving Weekend!

I try to wash the comforter once a month..should do it more with the dog sleeping with us.
My husband does the grocery shopping
. How I got out of that, I am not sure.
Yes, I only have one or two rooms (or something like all the bathrooms) clean at once. And that stinks.

Since moving down south we don’t really use a duvet. In the winter I use one of those light ones from IKEA and don’t bother with a cover… I know I’m horrible! Therefore I throw it in the wash every couple of weeks.
There’s been times when the groceries have NEVER been put away. Sometimes it happens…who cares as long as you know where everything is!
I used to have only a couple areas clean…now they all are due to a cleaning lady every second week but mainly because in the past 6 months we’ve gone crazy and gotten rid of ALL THE CRAP!!
