I am WAY too busy. I’m at the stage of doing everything in a half-assed manner, which is not my style.

So…I’m selling a website. Sometime before I go back to work (September 2009) I will no longer be The Opinionated Parent. I can’t keep up with it. Either that or I’ll make it a lot smaller. It has such huge potential for growth, though, that I’d rather see someone who can love it and grow it take over. I’m not sure how to sell a website. Ideas?

I have been reading some great books (and some not so great ones) that I want to tell you about soon, and I have FIVE giveaways – all books – to go along with that. Now if I could just find a few minutes to write about them…

We’ve been decorating like crazy for Halloween. Primo is a decorating fool and goes crazy for it, so I bought a whole bunch more this year when Michael’s had their big sale. For 40%-90% off we bought fake fall flowers for our outside pots & inside vases, fall garlands for the railings, a fiber optic pumpkin, light up pumpkins for the kids’ rooms, “BOO” garlands, a Halloween tree & decorations for it, window clings…and I’m sure there’s more. We finished yesterday and now it’s only three days until we start to take it all down and decorate for Christmas. He’ll be in his glory!

Primo’s not napping anymore (ever…grrr…) so we fill our afternoons with either playdates or crafts. He’s been making some kleenex ghosts which are as fun & easy as they were when I was a kid, and is totally addicted to foam stickers. I bought him a bin of the letters and he’ll sit for an hour just sticking letters to paper. Peace & quiet for me – Whoo hoo!

Hopefully I’ll be back soon with the book deets – for now we’re busy the next few days with two playgroups, Costco, pumpkin carving, a Halloween party & other random kid things. House cleaning is not on the list. Do not come over unannounced unless you’re prepared to have your feet stick to the floor.
