Four Great Books, Four Great Giveaways!
I’ve been reading so many great books lately that I need to tell you about. Honestly there are probably 30, but we’ll start with the four that I have giveaways for! All of these just happen to be stocking stuffer sized, and the giveaway will end in time for prizes to be received before Christmas.
1. WTF? How to Survive 101 of Life’s Worst F*#!-ing Situations by Gregory Bergman and Anthony W. Head is a great book to give to the person who has everything. Or the person who’s going to be moving out soon and has no idea how to survive. The authors take you step by step through inventive, often illegal and always funny solutions to life’s many dilemmas. For example, what would you do if…
-your new girlfriend giggles at your penis?
-you need to go but you can’t find a bathroom?
-you owe a lot of money to the irs?
-you’re lost abroad and need to find a train station?
-you just got a drink and some klutz knocks it over.
-you’re having a nice dinner out but the waiter is a dick?
If you or someone you know would enjoy an incredibly humorous look at these and 95 more of like’s sucky situations, this book is for you.
2. I love Christmas. I love everything about it. The decorations, the music, the gift-buying, the time with family and even the cooking. (Well, the helping my mom with the cooking. I don’t touch dead birds.) However, there are a ton of people who feel that Christmas is a commercialized Hallmark holiday and that the pressure is just too much. Those people need to read
Christmas Sucks: What to do when fruitcake, family and finding the perfect gift make you miserable by Joanne Kimes, the author of the bestselling Sucks series. It’s a blunt and hilarious looks at the downside of the hectic (yet wonderful, in my opinion) holiday season.
3. Also in the spirit of the season, Green Christmas: How to have a joyous, eco-friendly holiday season is perfectly up my alley. It offers super user-friendly ways to incorporate practices into your holiday season that won’t hurt the earth. It’s stocking stuffer sized, and the eight chapters are packed full of suggestions like creating eco-responsible lighting displays, opting out of catalogue lists, recycling Christmas trees and more.
4. Last, but not least, is Good Housekeeping’s Good Deals & Smart Steals: How to save money on everything. Did you know that all prices are negotiable? This book gives you scripts of what to say and when to say it for the best success. It has great tips to save on food, large and small appliances, online shopping, home improvements, cleaning products, travel and more. Many of the tips are common sense but the book is still a great reminder that we could all probably be saving a little more cash.
GIVEAWAY! I am giving away all four of these books! I’ll do a separate draw for each one but you can enter for all four if you like. Just leave a comment letting me know which one(s) you’d like to be entered for. Make it easy on me and leave a separate comment for each entry, okay? It makes counting entries much easier, but I won’t disqualify you if you aren’t a good listener. I get it. I’m not either. It never fails that my non-blogger readers, of whom you are many, email me asking how the hell they leave a comment on one of these blorg things so… Alternatively, you can email your entry to muchmorethanamom at gmail dot com with FOUR BOOK GIVEAWAY in the subject line and just tell me in there which one(s) of the four you’d like to enter to win. Contest closes on Friday, November 28 at noon mst. Winners will be emailed before the end of November.
I’ve got another giveaway up my sleeve before Christmas for all you Oprah fans out there
Good luck!

The Green Christmas book sounds interesting! Well, actually all of them do. But I don’t want to seem greedy.
