Janice tagged me for one of those crazy more-than-you-ever-wanted-to-know memes. It, quite obviously, began as a chain email so I’ve edited it to make a little more sense, and added two questions of my own to make an even 45 because I can’t stand weird numbered quizzes.

1. WERE YOU NAMED AFTER ANYONE? Not that I know of, but my first name (not actually Nicole) is a family tradition from my Dad’s side. If I ever have another daughter I’d like her to carry on that tradition.
2. WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU CRIED? While saying Bella’s prayers with her a few weeks ago…we were praying for my Dad and it struck me that she won’t remember him.
3. DO YOU LIKE YOUR HANDWRITING? Yes, when I take my time.
4. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE LUNCH MEAT? Montreal Smoked Meat (amen to that, Janice!) But…I don’t really eat deli meat. I believe in real meat from animals that lived happy, free range lives. What part of the cow is the “loaf?”
5. DO YOU HAVE KIDS? Yep! A 2.5 year old son and a 10 month old daughter.
6. IF YOU WERE ANOTHER PERSON WOULD YOU BE FRIENDS WITH YOU? Totally.
7. DO YOU USE SARCASM A LOT? It’s a competition with my husband. He wins, but I come in a close second.
8. DO YOU STILL HAVE YOUR TONSILS. Yes. But not my appendix.
9. WOULD YOU BUNGEE JUMP? If I wasn’t married with children, yes.
10. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE CEREAL? Home made granola.
11. DO YOU UNTIE YOUR SHOES WHEN YOU TAKE THEM OFF? Yes, most of the time.
12. DO YOU THINK YOU ARE STRONG? Yes, but I’m rather out of shape right now.
13. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE ICE CREAM? Mint chocolate chip, cookies & cream, chocolate, turtle…bring it on, baby.
14. WHAT IS THE FIRST THING YOU NOTICE ABOUT PEOPLE? Their smile & eyes – it’s gotta be genuine.
15. RED OR PINK? Both.
16. WHAT IS THE LEAST FAVORITE THING ABOUT YOURSELF? The baby gunt.
17. WHO DO YOU MISS THE MOST? My dad.
18. WHAT COLOR SHOES ARE YOU WEARING? Leather slippers which hold my old lady orthotics.
19. WHAT WAS THE LAST THING YOU ATE? A glass of mango peach party from Happy Planet. Have you guys tried that juice? Organic and freaking amazing.
20. WHAT ARE YOU LISTENING TO RIGHT NOW? My husband and his friend cheering for the Stamps who just won the Grey Cup!
21. IF YOU WHERE A CRAYON, WHAT COLOR WOULD YOU BE? Red.
22. FAVORITE SMELLS? My mom’s kitchen when she’s cooking.
23. WHO WAS THE LAST PERSON YOU TALKED TO ON THE PHONE? My mother in law, and my mom just before that.
24. DO YOU LIKE THE PERSON WHO TAGGED YOU? I sure do!
25. FAVORITE SPORTS TO WATCH? Hockey and anything kids are playing.
26. HAIR COLOR? Espresso brown
27. EYE COLOR? Blue
28. DO YOU WEAR CONTACTS? Occasionally. Since I got pregnant with Primo my eyes have been very dry and I can only wear them for a couple of hours.
29. FAVORITE FOOD? There are so many. My mom’s huge turkey dinner with all the trimmings come to mind since it’s only a month away! My mother in law’s spaghetti sauce. My father in law’s chicken cordon bleu. East Indian. Italian. Greek. Mexican. Chocolate.
30. SCARY MOVIES OR HAPPY ENDINGS? Happy endings or mysteries.
31. LAST MOVIE YOU WATCHED? I can’t remember – it’s been that long.
32. WHAT COLOR SHIRT ARE YOU WEARING? Green with shiny thingies on it.
33. SUMMER OR WINTER? Summer. Especially when I’m back to teaching.
34. HUGS OR KISSES? Both, but mostly hugs.
35. FAVORITE DESSERT? Berry crisp & ice cream, pumpkin pie with whipped cream, fresh fruit or a bowl of ice cream.
36. WHAT BOOK ARE YOU READING NOW? I have about five on the go. Today’s Parent mag, KIWI mag, Just Tell Me What To Say, Your Two Year Old, Your Three Year Old, and I, like Janice, just finished Twilight and am hoping to get the rest of the series soon.
37. WHAT IS ON YOUR MOUSE PAD? I don’t have one – just use my laptop mouse.
38. WHAT DID YOU WATCH ON TV LAST NIGHT? Dexter, but it wasn’t on TV. It was downloaded.
39. FAVORITE SOUND? My kids voices when they’re not screaming. My husband telling me he loves me .
40. ROLLING STONES OR BEATLES? Both, or neither. Whatever.
41. WHAT IS THE FARTHEST YOU HAVE BEEN FROM HOME? Cuba.

45. IF YOU COULD HAVE ANY (PAYING) JOB IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD, WHAT WOULD IT BE? If mother & housewife was a paying job, that would be my dream but being that it’s lacking a pension & benefits I’ll keep teaching. Though travel writer or food taster would be super cool. Or fitness instructing & presenting if it paid better. Or photographer if it came with a pension. Chef would be fun, but only if I made all the decisions and never had to follow a recipe. Yoga teacher is great, but it doesn’t pay enough either. Can you see why I have so many hobbies and side jobs?
