So UnCanadian of Me.
Every Saturday, Primo and I head off to the university in the morning for his Kindermusik class.
(Side note: Totally not worth the money. Have I told you that before? We paid $220 for pretty much exactly the same thing that we get for free at Rhyme Time every week…)
After his class, we check out the huge climbing wall (“fish tank”) to see if we can see anyone climbing, and head to Tim Hortons for a snack. We call it our weekly “coffee date,” though neither of us has coffee.
Because Tim Hortons coffee tastes like something that used to be real coffee but then someone peed in it.
Primo gets a 12 grain bagel, toasted with nothing on it, EVERY week. And EVERY week they put something on it and have to make it again. They can’t seem to grasp the concept of a 2 year old wanting something plain. They do the same thing almost every time at the Tim Hortons in our neighbourhood too. And when I bitched told one of my friends about it this morning, she told me that the one across town did the same thing to her last weekend.
All I can surmise is that, in order to be employed at a Tim Hortons, you must pass a Moron Test to a certain low standard.
I’m going to start driving to Starbucks, where at least I can have a damn coffee.

I’m so glad you see through the Kindermusik!!! In my other life I was an Early Childhood Music Educator (with music degree and graduate diploma in ECME)…any ol’ fop can get their Kindermusik certificate and teach it! All you have to do is go to a weekend session, buy the taped music and you can start using the name.
I will not comment on the not liking Tim Horton’s as #1 I am not a coffee drinker so I can’t complain about it and #2 what I would give for an oat cake from there right now (unfortunately they were only ever in the east coast tims).

I hear ya, kids like things plain!
My biggie is why McDonads puts onions on the kids cheeseburgers!
When you order plain bagels at timmies, you can get them 2 for something, did you know that?!?
I WISH we had money for Kindermusik, I truly believe it is an amazing course, but not in our budget

That’s too bad. There used to be a Tim Horton’s in the area, but that was a long time ago, so I don’t remember much about it.
I love the idea of you and Primo going on a date!

There are a few places around here that pass pee off as coffee. Wish you lived closer, I’d take you to a great local coffee place called “Wake The Dead”. It’s awesome!
