Pessimistic Much?

If the world ends, you forget your anniversary, come face to face with a rhinoceros, need to deliver a baby in a cab, free yourself from being tied up or you get a new puppy, the Worst Case Scenario books have probably got you covered. In fact, if you can dream it, the WCS books have you covered. There are a whole schwack (technical term right there) books about basic survival, the working world, hobbies, relationships, travel and even books especially for kids.

I was sent the Junior, Extreme Junior and Middle School books. Since my kids can’t read and I don’t have much time to read, I gave the middle school one to my friend’s daughter to review for you. She’s entering middle school this fall and was thrilled to receive it. (Great gift idea!) She says (and I copied and pasted this – she wrote it all!) “This book is awesome! It has some really good ideas for things that I’m pretty sure will happen at my new school, and some really funny pages about things that I sure hope don’t happen!”

The Worst Is Yet To Come is a new blog from Chronicle Books showcasing the best of the best from the Worst Case Scenario They’re celebrating their tenth anniversary and, from what I can tell, the books are still going strong.

The new blog offers daily how-to’s, tips, and trivia about surviving the worst that life can throw at you, from the realistic to the ridiculous. It’s got bits and pieces from all of the books and some stuff that’s not in any of them. I’ve actually added it to my feed reader because it’s almost always either educational or entertaining.

GIVEAWAY: I already gave away the middle school book, but I’m going to give the Junior and Extreme Junior books to one of you! To enter, email me at muchmorethanamom at gmail dot com with WCS BOOKS in the subject line. Say whatever you want in the body of the email – I’m just going to filter them into a folder and random.org will do the draw sometime after a week or two!
